NIGERIA CIVIL SOCIETY SITUATION ROOM TRAINING ON 24TH SEPTEMBER, 2016

In the Organization’s pursuit of good governance in Ondo State and Nigeria at large, the organization attended a training organized by Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room and Policy & Legal Advocacy Centre to train some selected Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on how to observe elections both on the Field (Polling Unit) and in the Situation Room to ensure Free and Fair Election.

The training was sectionalized into six different parts:

Understanding the Legal Framework for the Conduct of the Elections in Nigeria.
Right, Responsibilities and Code of Conduct for Election Observers and INEC’s Expectations from Observers.
Civil Society Organizations and Election Observation: Roles and Challenges
Increasing Citizens Vigilance and Active Participation in Election.
Situation Room Incident Reporting and Escalation.
Simulation Exercise and Role Play.
